Encouragement for the Day

bm

Bojidar Marinov says, “Every single positive change in history starts with change in our hearts, and change in the pulpit. Which means, concerning the standing occupying army of police, we need to first change our hearts and trust God that maintaining a social order is not the same as having a standing army for terrorizing the population. Then we need to purge the pulpits of any preacher who supports the existence of police, or the existence of any other tyranny. At the very least, do not support with your money pulpits which support tyranny.

Once preaching is changed, the change in the culture will come very quickly.”

Radical Freedom of God’s Law

A society built on God’s law would be shockingly free. Conservatives  have been duped into advocating for border fences, when true conservatism ought to advocate the end of the border patrol and free immigration. Here’s some Milton Friedman advocating freedom and small government once again.

Our immigration laws are unjust and unbiblical and tyrannical. Normal people can help resist this tyranny by disobeying the law. Hire the best man at the best price for the job, even if you don’t know where he’s from.  At a border patrol checkpoint (if you are within 100 miles of the Mexican border), refuse to answer their questions. Don’t cooperate.

McDurmon on Datpostmil

Whoa! This was a great episode. I learned a lot and was reminded of a lot that I learned from Restoring America One County at a Time.

1. We must behave consistently with our beliefs. If we are opposed to socialism, do we send our kids to public school or receive government assistance?

2. Getting our country back is going to take generations. It wasn’t lost with one election. It won’t be won back with one election. Let’s start now.

I’m going to listen to it again.

End Public School

Public school should be abolished. There are many reasons.

1. Public school is funded by socialism. People are forced to pay taxes, and that money is given to other people. This is enforced by violence or at least the threat of violence.

2. Jesus said, “Whoever is not with me is against me” (Matthew 12:30). Is public school for Christ? If not, then it is against Christ.

3. Public school being against Christ leads to huge moral problems.

4. It is none of the government’s business whether kids go to school. God put education under the purview of parents–not government. When government usurps parental authority it is a sin.

5. The free market will offer better, cheaper, non-violent solutions and choices to people.

6. Public School is technologically obsolete.

We Americans like to think of ourselves as the best in the world at everything, but our school system is right up there with…Lithuania. The American public school system ranks 30th in math in the world; 23rd in science and 20th in reading. We were beat out by Estonia. If you wish to offer a defense of public school, you’re defending mediocrity.

1. Public School Is Socialism

Even conservatives and Christians (while railing against Obamacare and big government) send their kids to government schools. I think it never crosses most people’s minds that they’re taking part in socialism. Public school is often looked at as the only choice. It’s no wonder we’re losing the battle for our culture when we are so inconsistent. Socialism is immoral, because the government has no more right to steal from people than anyone else.

Public school is mostly funded by property taxes. In Colorado, if you don’t pay your property taxes, after three years, the sheriff is going to show up to move your stuff out to the curb. Even if you own your house free and clear, you better make dang sure you’re paying your property taxes, or your house WILL BE STOLEN. The deputies will drag you out kicking and screaming. So, public school is funded by violence and theft. If it weren’t, rest assured, I wouldn’t pay these unjust taxes.

Whether I like it or not, whether I have kids or not, I have to pay the government, and they redistribute it as they see fit. I’ve heard people argue that them stealing from me is OK, because I get to vote. Even if I had a zillion votes, stealing wouldn’t be OK. They have a monopoly on education because it’s legal for them to use force to keep it. Not because they offer the best product, but strictly by force.

2. Public School is Against Christ

All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ Jesus (Colossians 2:3). Yet, it is illegal to show favoritism to Christianity in public school. Christians believe that Jesus is Lord; He is the Creator, but we can’t show preference to Him over Vishnu, Buddha or the flying spaghetti monster. It is foolishness on display. It is God’s judgment, yet Christians continue to send their kids there. It’s shocking to me.

3. Moral Problems

If evolution were true, humans are nothing more than a species of animal. There is no inherent value to our lives, because only God can confer absolute value to anything. There is no right and wrong. There is no absolute truth. Knowledge is not possible. To pretend that this teaching doesn’t have consequences for society is to put your head in the sand.

At least the guy in this video admits his worldview leads to a lack of certainty in knowledge. He can’t live consistently with that, but at least he admits it.

We wonder why schools get shot up and 50 million babies have been murdered by their mothers. If you tell people they’re animals long enough, they’ll start to act like animals.

4. Forcing People To Send Their Kids To School Is Wrong

If you don’t send your kids to school, the truancy officer is going to take your kids. I’m noticing a pattern with these government thugs. They’re into force and violence. If someone wants to educate their child in a way that the government doesn’t like, watch out!

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 says, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

The Lord wants us to teach our children as we live our lives with them. Nowhere in there does it say it might be a good idea to send the kids to the government.

5. The Free Market Is Better

You don’t have to be a greedy capitalist to know that when there is competition in providing goods or services, the price goes down and the quality goes up. The government gives themselves a huge advantage by taking money from everyone and they still end up mediocre.

What if the government was relieved of its monopoly and the entrepreneurs, teachers and parents were set free to innovate and come up with new ways of teaching. Maybe home school a little, and send Johnny to a teacher for a specialized subject he’s interested in. Maybe someone will invent, create or discover a new way that is really effective for teaching a subject, because millions of people aren’t stuck in a government mold.

6. Technology Has Made Public School Obsolete

There are ivy league universities that have put all their classes on Youtube. Why pay $100.000 or more for a piece of paper, when the true benefit of education (the education) is free? More and more people are going to realize this and forego college in favor of education. Isn’t the measure of an education what you do with it rather than whether you jumped through hoops? Obviously, this would be even easier for elementary through high school.

There are already online public schools. This eliminates the costly real estate and maintenance costs of public school. You could lay off a lot of teachers. Those are the two main costs of public school. Maybe this will be the first step in eliminating public school. You could send all the kids home and teach them there and immediately cut the budget by 80% or more. That puts the costs within reach of families to pay their own way, or be assisted by charities if necessary.

Maybe some school district will attempt this on their own–send the kids home, sell their real estate, lay off most of their staff, and cut property taxes by 50% or more.

You could have the greatest teachers in the country teach their subject’s lessons and then have online assistants to answer questions or grade paperwork.

Of course, all of this is already happening. It’s just that only a small percentage of Americans are taking advantage.

The free market is better than government monopoly.

The bottom line is I don’t consent to this socialistic school system. I don’t like being threatened with force so others can get their way.

Bo on Abolishing the Police

bm

Bojidar Marinov said, “It becomes clearer and clearer that police are an unnecessary, un-Biblical, and anti-Constitutional institution. We need to abolish it and replace it with court [summons] and armed citizenry. A standing army designed to oppress the citizenry – which is what police are – is an institution of tyranny.”

In response to a comment, he said, “We are just not used to the idea [of abolishing police forces]. This always reminds me of how people in Eastern Europe reacted to the legal changes after the fall of Communism: “What will happen if they remove government controls over prices? What will happen if all business is private and the private owner doesn’t want to hire people? What will happen when the government gets rid of its rental residential properties? What will happen if the land is returned to the owners? What will happen if everyone had a gun?”

The truth is, nothing dangerous will happen if we abolish police today. Our life will continue being the same as before – except that we won’t be extorted for made up “violations” and “crimes.”

The most obvious result will be the disappearance of government revenues. Look at NYC: The cops decided to withdraw from active policing, and the city went about its business with no problem – but then, it was the City government that was really concerned because there were no revenues!”

Great Quotes

“We ought to obey God rather than men.” -The Apostle Peter and other apostles, Holy Bible Acts 5:29

“For earthly princes lay aside their power when they rise up against God, and are unworthy to be reckoned among the number of mankind. We ought, rather, to spit upon their heads than to obey them.” ~John Calvin

“But hereof be assured, that all is not lawful nor just that is statute by civil laws; neither yet is everything sin before God, which ungodly persons allege to be treason.” -John Knox

“Let a thing here be noted, that the prophet of God sometimes may teach treason against kings, and yet neither he nor such as obey the word, spoken in the Lord’s name by him, offend God.” -John Knox

“If their princes exceed their bounds, Madam, it is no doubt that they may be resisted even by power.” -John Knox (while being questioned by Queen Mary about his views which legitimized subjects resisting their princes)

Country Boys Can Survive

This is from barnhardt.biz:

Speaking of masculinity in culture, I am inclined to repeat an anecdote which I have written of here before long ago, but which bears repeating in light of the current discussion of “free speech”.  The bottom line is this:  a healthy culture SELF-POLICES and naturally, swiftly and efficiently quashes that speech which should be suppressed.  You don’t need the government to get involved – the onus is actually on the people themselves to take care of these things.  It’s almost like … SUBSIDIARITY IN PRACTICE, or something.

So here’s the anecdote.  Many years ago in the early ’90s, I attended the annual Threshing Bee in McLouth, Kansas.  A Threshing Bee is very similar to a county fair, and features antique farm machinery (including operating steam engines), tractor pulls, draft horse competitions, booths, a fairway with games, rides and food concessions – a quintessential rural American family event.  One evening we were watching the tractor pull and draft horse competitions, and some drunken idiot in the stands started screaming and yelling all manner of curses and obscenities.  This was in the early evening, and there were families and children all around.  This went on for about 30 seconds, and then spontaneously, about six men out of the crowd without a word stood up, mustered, and discreetly surrounded and confronted the drunk.  One of the men assumed the lead and told the drunk that either he shut his mouth and leave the premises RIGHT NOW, or the men would shut his mouth for him and physically remove him.  They didn’t ask him, they told him.  His only choice was, do it easy or do it hard, but either way, it was getting done.

This is what I’m talking about.  This is subsidiarity in action.  There wasn’t even a need to go summon the sheriff’s deputy who was the on-duty security.  Why?  Because the PEOPLE, in this case a small group of able-bodied men, had not only the ability, but thereby also the duty to self-police and handle the situation.  And because they were actual MEN, with their testicles intact, and not residing in a pickle jar on top of their teevee, or in their wives’ purses, the situation was quickly and discreetly handled.

Because no, drunken trailer trash jackasses do NOT have the “right” to scream the f-word at public, family-oriented events.  Another example of this that comes to mind is, in fact, teevee.  If any of the satanic agitporn trash that passes for prime-time teevee today (think 2 1/2 Men or Family Guy or Real Housewives of…) were to air in ARSH 1957, the era of “Leave It To Beaver”, “Dragnet” and “Gunsmoke”, understand that the American people themselves would have demanded, not just made idle, impotent, five-minute threats about boycotts, but demanded and PHYSICALLY BACKED IT UP that the network and people responsible be held to account, punished, and that it not happen again.  I know it is hard to imagine this today, but it is true.  The culture was still healthy enough to self-police.  Today, we are so far gone and so lacking in any sort of masculine initiative or boundary-setting, that the entire notion of a self-policing, subsidiary social order SEEMS impossible.  And so, tyranny you shall have, until such time as you get off your effete, apathetic asses and restore your balls to their proper position.

Proper Border Policy

I’ve loved politics since I was a kid. I loved Ronald Reagan. I started watching Rush Limbaugh’s TV show when I was in high school and then his radio show ever since. I’ve noticed along with many other Christians that the Republican party isn’t really all that conservative. Many don’t talk conservatively, and most of the rest of Republicans who may talk conservatively don’t walk conservatively.

As I’ve studied the Bible, I’ve also come to the realization that some of the policies that are considered conservative still aren’t biblical. As Christians, we need to stay biblical. That is why I’m posting these videos that make the case for opening international borders completely.

Christians are people who have submitted to Christ as Lord. That means that we do what He says to do, and believe what He says to be true to the best of our ability. The Bible talks about having open borders, and that settles it for me. Check out these videos that are very eye opening.
