This Week’s To Do List

Are you looking for something you can do for Christ? Here’s a list of ideas from Paul Dorr.

• Confront abortion clinics with the love of Christ while reminding them of the wrath of God
• Expose pastors pushing to poison many with the vaccination.
• Confront local government waste.
• Leaflet drop school parking lots on the sin of public education.
• Expose bond dealers plundering local county government
• Expose growth in local government employment along with decline in services.
• Confront cable companies pouring filth into local communities
• Praise local magistrates who are fighting to defend families and property rights
• Do public records request of fake government economic development groups and point to those profiteering
• Confront gay pride parade with the Gospel
• Confront local feminist organizations
• Confront feminism in the local churches
• Lit-drop and picket neighborhoods of local tyrannical judges
• Expose miserable misandrist lawyers exploiting marital difficulties to destroy marriage
• Lit-drop local bars on what real Christian manhood looks like and invite them to a Bible study.
• Confront local police who are encouraging tyranny
• Confront filth at local high schools
• Take home-school kids, especially boys, along with many of these public confrontations. Expose them to some human fear while teaching them to cling to Christ

Throw More Money At It

Canon City’s new mayor succeeded in raising the sales tax in the city for the first time since the 1970s, and has now come out in favor of a property tax hike for the school district.

The streets are in terrible shape according to the city. They’ve failed to properly maintain the roads over the years. The school district has put off maintenance on the junior high building and Washington elementary to the point that they’re considering tearing them down. Are these people we should be giving more money to? I think they sound like utter failures. Everyone associated with operating those organizations over the last few decades should be embarrassed to show their face in public and there should be mobs in the street calling for those governmental entities to be disbanded.

But Higher-Taxes Troutman (who is supposed to be a Republican, small-government type) wants to use the threat of government-sanctioned violence and theft to force people to pay for the education of other people’s children. The public school system is built on covetousness, greed, theft and laziness. It is morally repugnant to the Christian worldview. Yet, I am forced to pay for it.

Higher-Taxes Troutman thinks that higher taxes and more free stuff will attract younger, more affluent residents. Maybe it would. Or maybe what would attract businesses is lower taxes or no taxes. Why attempt the same higher tax strategy as every other town in the country? Maybe try freedom, capitalism, and elimination of wasteful government entities. Maybe the sole purpose of the CCPD could become keeping federal and state enforcers out of town. Security can be handled by free market solutions and neighbors loving others more than themselves.

I’m with Paul Dorr, who says in the video below, “I have a deep passionate abhorrence of government schools.”

Cut Off Funding

This is a great interview! Chipping away at local issues  is something the average person can be doing. Everyone is worried about the presidential candidates while it’s the local school district, building department and police that are killing liberty. What if we were able to eliminate a proposed tax increase to support those organizations– Or maybe even cut their budget?

I’ve always thought of local politics as boring, but I can really have no effect on a presidential election, whereas I can have an effect on local issues.
