I've lived in Canon City my whole life. It makes me sick to think of where this country is headed. The solutions are in God's Word.

More Stupidity From Tea Party People

I’m just so sad about what happened to the tea party. I don’t know how the tea party got so screwed up. But I think it’s a good place to try to wake people up. They’re generally Christians and certainly conservative. The problem is that they hold self-contradictory positions. It makes is easy to just let them talk until they shoot themselves in the foot. Here’s another conversation between me and a lady who is into cop worship, like the guy who made the original post.

Step 1 Is Getting Your Kids Out of Public School

Assuming you love your kids or your country, step one is going to be not sending your kids to public school. You don’t even have to love both your kids and your country. Just loving one or the other is enough for anyone with half a brain to get their kids out. It is just patently obvious to me that that is the case. Sometimes you have to provoke people a little to get them to start thinking. This was what I was doing here. I’ve responded to probably a dozen of this lady’s posts, and never seen her comment on any of them. I doubt she read this conversation, but at least she read my initial comment. Here’s the conversation:

I think I will leave the conversation there. I’ve pretty much already told her I’m homeschooling. I’ve told her that her children would be better off roaming free than in public school. That’s my suggestion. If people truly can’t homeschool, they should let their children roam free. Unschooling is a valid homeschooling method. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you don’t hate your kids, don’t send them to public school.

Conservative REveals Her Socialism

This is a conversation I’m having on Facebook. I hate to admit it, but these tea party groups are filled with people who seem especially unintelligent. I’m not saying I’m that smart, but as I deal with other groups, I face much more interesting and challenging debates and conversations in other forums.

Below is the conversation, and I’ll post the video I’m referring to below the picture of the conversation. My comment comes after the “conservative” who admits that she wants security services she can’t afford.

We Get The Government We Deserve

I can’t believe there are still people who are sold-out sycophants hanging on every word of government quacks. Have they not been paying attention for the last few months?

First, they institute lockdowns and say that masks are useless. They see riots and they make exceptions to corona lockdown regulations for rioting. Tests and statistics have been shown to be utterly useless and unreliable, so no one really even has good data to make even an educated guess. But that doesn’t stop them from threatening you with fines and jail time and destroying businesses. Now, supposedly, cases are rising, but rather than going back to lockdowns, they start requiring masks. They know people will go nuts if there are lockdowns and that lockowns were utterly ineffective, but they want to continue to put you in your place. So put this fabric over your face as a placebo and a virtue signal and keep your mouth shut. I can’t believe that the majority of people actually are wearing masks.

Government health “experts” have proven themselves to be completely unreliable. So stop relying on them.

Don’t Answer Questions

I happened across this little gem of a quote. I’ve posted about attorneys before who have said that you should never talk to police or insurance companies without an attorney present. Of course, sometimes it’s necessary to talk to those people, and you should have an attorney, and attorneys want you to have an attorney. But, it’s cheaper not to have an attorney, and not talk to those people.

Pilots will make mistakes, and face discipline from the FAA, such as fines or license revocation. Should you start talking to the FAA or any other government entity? Here’s what a former FAA investigator advises:

“I am a former FAA inspector. When I was a fed we had to give out a copy of the Pilots Bill of Rights (PBR) with all written correspondence. If we sent a Letter of investigation (LOI) we had to include a PBR. The PBR, in part stated that they don’t have to respond to the LOI and we can’t infer guilt by their non response.

This can be important because sometimes we had nothing but an N# to work with. No way of knowing who was at the controls. If we send an LOI to the registered owner and get no response we were likely at a dead end.

If we get the registered owners phone number and call them, they pretty much always acknowledge having flown the airplane at the time in question. They admitted to an incriminating key fact that they did not have to admit to because the PBR was bypassed. I asked around about this PBR being bypassed on phone calls. All agreed this seemed to not comply with our mandate to notify pilots of their rights.

I started telling pilots this PBR info when I called them. Some where smart and just said ok, thanks, goodbye. This guy was on video so he would be Identified as PIC already but still, answering a call from the feds is not a good idea. I think it would be best to be very polite and friendly, but say now is not a good time, I’ll call you back. You never know what stupid thing may inadvertently come out of your mouth.

If they do have a way of placing it you at the controls then lots of apologetic ass kissing can help. If you dig in your heels and get nasty some will take it as a challenge and throw the book at you.

I am really glad I am not a fed anymore.

Yes! Defund The Police!

Liberals are calling for police to be defunded. They’re shooting themselves in the foot. There will be no gun control, no socialism, no big government without police. Conservatives, by knee-jerk opposing the liberals are shooting themselves in the foot, because there will be no gun control, no socialism, no big government without police. If you’re armed, you don’t need police.

Liberals are realizing that socialist-funded police services are terrible, and conservatives ought to be pointing out that all socialist-funded services are terrible, because the providers of those services don’t have to please their customers. Their customers are forced to pay whether they like it or not.

Happy Ending

This cop is a lunatic. His job is to protect people’s constitutional rights. He completely ignores that and ends up costing his employer’s insurance company $75 grand. I often ponder whether police are lying or are truly ignorant of the law. I think this cops is a straight-up moron who doesn’t know the law.

Is Secession Biblical?

Here’s what Gordan Runyan has to say about that question in his local newspaper column.

SECESSION: THE BIBLICAL WISDOM OF MOVING ON

Sometimes the best thing to do is walk away. Stop throwing pearls to the swine, as Jesus said. When the arguments have all been had, and everybody’s made their points a million times, maybe a peaceful split is not the worst answer in the world.

That was the thinking of the signers of “The Declaration of Independence”. All efforts at reconciliation had failed. It was time to go. They declared their intention to secede from the authority of King George III. Of course, the tyrant branded that effort as rebellious. It didn’t have to be a war, but he made it one.

They didn’t do anything wrong by trying to secede. In fact, the concept of political secession is seen in the Bible repeatedly. There are times when it’s the only wise option remaining.

I’m defining secession here as the effort to separate from one, earthly authority’s jurisdiction, for the sake of establishing a new authority.

“Let my people go,” was the word of the Lord through Moses to Pharaoh. It didn’t have to get ugly. The wicked ruler turned it into a cosmic showdown between Yahweh and the deities of Egypt. If the tyrant had not repeatedly hardened his heart, the damage could’ve been minimized.

We know how it turned out. The people of God eventually completed their secession from the political authority of Egypt, and were established as a new, sovereign nation.

Generations later, after the reigns of David and Solomon, the next king was a fool named Rehoboam, and history’s worst inaugural speech resulted in a split within Israel, with the ten Northern tribes seceding from his rule to establish their own authority. Now, Rehoboam was no more in favor of secession than Pharaoh had been, and when he tried to put a stop to it by force, Yahweh put a stop to his scheme. At the end of the day, the tribes wound up accomplishing a completely successful secession. The Bible is careful to let us know that God was behind this entire turn of events. (1 Kings 12:1-24)

There are other, smaller secessions that you’ve probably never thought of in that light. Abraham suggested a peaceful split with Lot, and that is what happened. Abraham flourished as a result. Jacob seceded from the authority of his powerful father-in-law, and, again, the patriarch flourished.

Scripturally speaking, secession is a legitimate action that is not the same as rebellion or war, although tyrants can turn it into that, and wreak havoc thereby. Biblical secession, done well, aims at a peaceful split that allows both parties to prosper.

Regarding the Coronavirus situation, in a cloud of chaotic half-truths and misinformation, one thing seems clear: That is, the divisions in this nation are deep, persistent, and most likely irreconcilable apart from great bloodshed. I’m not sure what the harm would be in simply letting the sides in this division separate peacefully and run their worlds in the manner they think best.

Let’s pray for the godly peace of our land.
