This is definitely thought provoking. I like this line: “When evil is legal, we must become criminals. When oppression is enacted as law, we ought to become lawbreakers.”

A lot of my conservative, Christian friends keep telling me that the vast majority of cops are good and it’s only a very small percentage of officers who get plastered all over the news and make a bad name for all the good cops. I acknowledge that most police/citizen interactions are peaceful and go unnoticed. But is never being on the news beating an unarmed citizen with a night stick all that is required to be a good cop?
A popular slogan among cops is, “I don’t make the laws, I just enforce them.“ That is the issue. A good cop can’t just check his conscience at the door and blindly follow orders. There are a lot of bad laws in this country–not just bad laws, but evil laws. A good cop can’t enforce an evil law. He must do something to stand against evil as all Christians are commanded (Ephesians 5:11). A cop who enforces an unjust law isn’t a good cop.
The first few minutes of the video below debunks the fantasy that a large percentage of cops are good. In it, you see dozens of cops arresting abortion protesters. The discussion in the video is about how the abortion protesters were treated unnecessarily rough. Every cop there was enforcing man’s law, and ignoring the fact that God’s law condemned them. The purpose of their abuse was to make a religious statement: “We have no king but Caesar.”
But to only talk about the broken bones is missing what may be the most important point. These abortion protesters are standing against the murder of babies, while the cops are standing with the abortionists. The cops are blindly following orders and protecting the business of butchering babies. That is not an option for a good cop. It is certainly not an option for a Christian cop. All the cops who were there participating are wicked cops.
If there had been good cops there, or Christian cops, they would have had no choice but to refuse to follow orders, leave the scene, or even sit down with the protesters.
The politicians and Supreme Court can decree all the evil laws they want, but those tyrants need muscle on the street willing to threaten, and carry out violence, or they’re just blowing hot air. Unfortunately, the tyrants have had no trouble finding plenty of bad cops willing to blindly enforce the law. And all too many of those bad cops claim to be Christians.
If, as my friends contend, the vast majority of cops are good, abortion would be over tomorrow. Christians could go down to the abortion clinic, block the doors, and the cops would stand with them against evil, because they’re good cops. We all know that won’t work, because cops and abortionists are allies. Abortionists rest easy at night knowing there are no good cops.
You really only have to watch a few minutes if you like. Here is what Mr. Marinov had to say about this video, and there were also several interesting comments I’ll include.
Bo said, “A conversation today reminded me of this documentary on police brutality, which I have watched many times with my friends from Operation Rescue.
Here, cop-worshipers, is your beloved police. Brutally torturing peaceful protesters against abortion, on the streets, in full view of the public. Not a single good cop there, out of hundreds. Not a single cop with a conscience; all brute beasts who eagerly jump at the opportunity to beat defenseless people, including pregnant women and old men, to break bones, or to inflict pain in any possible way just for the sheer pleasure of seeing their victims in pain. Sadistic perverts: this is the real description of your uniformed “heroes.” And some of these sadistic perverts would then go to church on Sunday morning, and false shepherds like John MacArthur would praise them for what they had done and even hold services in their honor.
Operation Rescue was very effective, despite the bad press it got. If it had continued, abortion would have been stopped back then, in the 80s, not by a political decision but by a grass roots movement.
Who then got in the way to thwart Operation Rescue?
The cops. Yes, it was your beloved, worshiped, “good” cops who went to the streets and applied every single ounce of brutality they could to protect the abortion mills from Operation Rescue.
Go ahead, worship the cops. Without them, we wouldn’t have thousands of babies murdered every day.”

Another commenter said,
Bob Vernon, LA Asst. Chief of Police, and elder in McArthur’s church was overseeing the torture that day. I wasn’t there but dear brother in the Lord, and former Las Vegas cop, Chet Gallagher, as I recall, was pleading with McArthur’s elder to stop the torture…to no avail.
Patrol officer, Greg Vande Kamp, in Sioux Falls, SD, and active in his Reformed church, hesitated when it came to arresting us back in the mid 1990s. (He had even asked me to come by his home where he begged me to give him an advance notice of the date of our rescue attempts, so that he could call in sick. I refused.) It was soon after he parted with his conscience and personally arrested me that he started rising in the ranks. He’s now a Captain and it wouldn’t surprise me if he made Chief one day…on the blood of the babies and in the name of Christ. Sioux Falls PD used mild “pain compliance”.

Bo said, “[A cop] can choose to participate in injustice, or choose to not participate in injustice. The position doesn’t justify participation in injustice. If cops had refused to follow orders, things would be different. Police chiefs took part in it willingly, self-consciously, as part of their assertion of police power. It was a religious statement by all, politicians, cops, and pastors. And the religious statement was: “We have no King but Caesar.” All of them are guilty.”

Some other commenter said, “I have a friend who is now a full-time pro-life activist who once was a cop who refused to arrest pro-lifers. He was fired when he was less than a year away from his retirement and pension. I admire him for his sacrifice. But I’d rather have guys like that on the police force than fired. I don’t blame the ones who are reasonable and still work within the corrupt system. We live in a fallen world. Sometimes the Daniels have to face the fiery furnace. But other times they can accept promotions within the system and function as prophets of God.”

Bo said, “I have been friends with some of the people in this video for 15 years now. Joseph Foreman (one of the speakers in the video) was my first true friend in the US, and my first church elder. I lived 6 months in his home as part of his family. I am still close friends with many of them. Some of them spent time in jail because of their involvement with OR, all of them had to go through confiscations, having lost their court cases to Planned Murderhood. Yes, it’s the same Planned Murderhood that is in the focus today that forced many of them into poverty.
And guess what: The cops were the ground troops for Planned Murderhood and for the abortion mills. It was not OR vs. the abortionists. On the street, it was the cops who fought for the murder of infants more than the abortionists themselves. In some cities, abortion mills were closing because of OR; abortionists were giving up. It was the police that never gave up in their fight for institutionalized murder. Without the cops, abortion would have been history by now.”

Bo said, “That’s why I am so outraged by statements of tyrannical cops like Sheriff David Clarke of Milwaukee, who said, “If black lives mattered, they would be protesting in front of the abortion clinics.” The truth is, Milwaukee has always had very strong protests against abortions, and Clarke has always been a muscle man for the abortionists, not a fighter against them.
Police must be abolished. It is an agent of tyranny and wickedness, not of law and order. We don’t need police.”
It’s Boston PD policy for these guys to wear badges and cooperate with requests for their name. Of course, that would be losing a battle of the wills with a civilian, which these power-tripping thugs couldn’t bear. They aren’t there to protect and serve, they’re there to intimidate and harass.
And of course, it’s not like there is even one good cop to step up and say, “I will follow department policy, and we all should answer their questions.” They’re all on a power trip, and they’re all willing to stomp on department policy. Rather they stand idly by while they attempt to kick people off of a public sidewalk.
At about 3:40, the cop says, “Are you some kind of Constitutionalist, crazy guy?” I don’t know about the guy in the video, but I would like the government to be obligated to abide by a written standard. That doesn’t seem crazy to me.
And, under God’s law, someone who pulls a deadly weapon can be assumed to be initiating violence, and you can protect yourself with force. Cops and government agents are not a special class of people with special rights in the biblical economy.
Kids can be irrational. My 3 year-old son said that when he grows up, he wants to be a truck. If they’re tired, they say things that are truly crazy while sobbing.
When they sob uncontrollably, you do what you can to calm them down and put them to bed. To me, it sounds like this kid is tired or frustrated. I seriously doubt that the best way to calm him down is have a man with a gun handcuff him.
Of course the real problem isn’t that a cop handcuffed someone else’s 8 year old for acting like an 8 year old. The problem is that the 8 year old is in a government school when his parents should be educating him at home as the Bible commands. The problem is that we’ve all been stolen from via taxes to support this insane, ridiculous system. The problem is public school. There should be no such thing as forced taxation and government education.
I hope these parents have learned their lesson, but I doubt it. They’ll sue the school district, win some money, and send their kid back to that same school. No one can take care of your kids and teach your kids like you can. That’s a parent’s job.

This takes place in California where an abortion abolitionist/preacher is speaking outside of an abortion clinic and had the police called on him.
I love what he says to the cops. None of us will stand before God on Judgment Day and be judged by California law. We will be judged by God’s law. When you’re a cop, they don’t allow you to enforce God’s law. You would be fired if you tried. Therefore, there are no good cops. It’s impossible to be a good cop. It’s like being a good communist or a good Nazi. It’s not possible. Cops check their personal opinion and their conscience at the door and enforce the law of their jurisdiction. Christians can’t enforce unjust laws.
What would a lone good cop do in regards to abortion?
Whatever he does is going to lead to his eventual firing. So let’s just get that straight right off the bat. I’d bet that every officer knows how much he can harass and abuse people and still get away with it. He ought to seek out the abortionist and the employees of the abortuary for this treatment. He ought to try to make contact with the customers going in for an abortion and tell them not to murder their children.
Here’s another option:
I was reminded of this article yesterday. It is about how the Bible never refers to the laws of men as law of any sort, but as lawlessness. It’s fairly long, but worth every second it takes to read.
The unjust laws of California or the Colorado Revised Statutes that enable people to murder the unborn are not law books. They are books of lawlessness. Yet these cops are supposed to be law enforcement officers. So these people go to work everyday and think they’re enforcing the law, but they’re really forcing lawlessness on people.
This country isn’t going anywhere while Christians and pastors and church members keep coddling cops and telling them what a good job they’re doing. This country isn’t going anywhere until we start teaching Christians these truths. This country isn’t going anywhere until we start putting cops under church discipline.
DUI Checkpoints are sinful, unbiblical, immoral, gross violations of biblical law for several reasons.
1. Checkpoints require police officers to lie. Of course, lying is a sin, and “just following orders” or “to get drunks off the road” are not valid excuses.
How are police lying at a checkpoint? In normal circumstances, they can’t pull a car over without suspecting the driver of a crime (which is also an unbiblical concept). But at a checkpoint, they pull everyone over, and every driver has to give evidence of their innocence before being allowed to leave.
By pulling a car over, they are essentially accusing the driver of having committed a crime. They don’t have evidence against every driver, so they are lying about each and every driver that passes through their checkpoint.
2. Government agents don’t have rights beyond anyone else to forcibly stop and question people. There is no special class of people under God’s law. If you personally can’t set up a roadblock, force everyone to pull over and talk to you, and chase down and arrest those who disobey your order to pull over, neither can the government.
The Fourth Amendment to the Constitition is biblical and supported by Deuteronomy 24:10-11. Biblically, you can’t force people to submit to a search or questioning without a court order. To force everyone to pull over and talk to the government is an egregious violation of our God-given rights.
I’ve talked to people who have heard all of this and it falls on deaf ears. They respond by saying that getting drunks off the road is so important that all of the Bible verses and logic in the world don’t matter. That is idolatry. To say that we can reject God’s law in favor of our own safety, or that we’re so smart we can figure out a better way is to reject the lordship of Jesus Christ.
God’s law is best. Christians above all others must be committed to doing things according to God’s law.
So, now, with this knowledge, what should churches do with cops who have participated in a checkpoint, (or cops in general)? I think for sure, they should be placed under church discipline until they find a more God-honoring vocation. We should help them however we can, but there definitely needs to be some sort of exit strategy and evidence of repentance.
I think it’s beyond my ability to come up with anything new to say about these animals. It’s just another example of evil cops.
If you don’t have a video camera on your phone, you need to get one. It is the only thing that helped this lady. You may never get in trouble yourself, but maybe your phone will help someone else.
