Ten Difficult Truths

You probably won’t hear this from many pulpits, but the Bible teaches these truths. If you want to learn more, I can help point you in the right direction. These have not been easy pills for me to swallow, and I suspect they won’t be easy for most others, but Christians are to be truth seekers and tellers, regardless of the consequences.

  1.  The U.S. government at every level is antichrist. It is your enemy.
  2. The U.S. dollar system/federal reserve is sinful.
  3. Public school is a sin. Sending your kids there is a sin.
  4. The American law enforcement system is sinful and needs to be abolished.
  5. Drugs aren’t illegal under God’s law, and only tyrants are in favor of them being illegal under man’s law.
  6. Taxation is theft, voting for a tax increase is a sin.
  7. To have government agents controling the border is sinful.
  8. Requiring driver’s licences, building permits, liquor licences, business licences and on and on is a sin.
  9. Prison/jail is an unjust, wicked punishment.
  10. The U.S. has fought many unjust wars, and having a standing army is a judgment from God.

I’m not offering my opinion. These items are biblical truths. You are sinning if you send your kids to public school, are in favor of closed borders, support police, are in favor of keeping drugs illegal, vote for tax increases, etc.

These are controversial topics, but like I said, I’d be happy to explain why these items are true from the Bible.

Good Conversation On Homeschooling

This is an interesting conversation that took place on homeschooling and whether public school is a sin. hsconvo

Another conversation took place on this thread where some who thought public school is not a sin, believed that sending a kid to an Islamic school would be a sin. What they don’t see is that what purports to be a secular education is really just as much a rejection of the lordship of Christ as any Islamic school would provide.

What Does The Bible Say About Schooling?

hskids

The following is from Israel Wayne.

Is schooling mentioned in the Bible (and does God have an opinion)? Why YES! I’m glad you asked!

This is just one of many passages that should solifiy this issue, but in Ephesians 6:4 we are commanded:

“Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but instead, train them up in the nurture (literally, “Biblical counseling”), and admonition (the Greek word, “Paideia”) of the Lord.”

What does Paideia mean? From the Encyclopeida Brittanica:

“Paideia, (Greek: “education,” or “learning”), system of education and training in classical Greek and Hellenistic (Greco-Roman) cultures that included such subjects as gymnastics, grammar, rhetoric, music, mathematics, geography, natural history, and philosophy. In the early Christian era the Greek paideia, called humanitas in Latin, served as a model for Christian institutions of higher learning, such as the Christian school of Alexandria in Egypt, which offered theology as the culminating science of their curricula. The term was combined with enkyklios (“complete system,” or “circle”) to identify a large compendium of general education, hence “encyclopaedia.”

Everything that could be taught in academics was wrapped up in the Greek word, “Paideia.” It was the word the Greeks used for “Schooling.” Paul commanded fathers to train their children up NOT in the Paideia of the world, but instead, in the Paideia of the Lord.

Is Public School a Sin?

The question of whether public school is a sin came up, and I thought I’d post a couple of good links and my answer to the question.

ocarememe

There are several reasons why public school is a sin, and some of the reasons are covered in this awesome article.

I would like to focus on the one point among dozens that public school is funded by theft, and it is sinful to accept those stolen funds by sending your kids to school.

Romans 13:1-7 defines the only job of the government as punishing evil. It is sinful for the government to educate children, build roads, issue currency, license barbers, provide welfare, and on and on. They can collect tax for their legitimate, biblical purpose, and that is it.

If we were to relent and allow the government to do all those other things, why can’t churches or families step outside their bounds to carry out punishment against criminals?

Also, 1 Samuel 8:15-17 says that any tax over 10% is an enslavement of the people. Taxing more than 10% is idolatry, because 10% belongs to God–not the government. They are to do with less than 10%.

And schools are funded by property tax, which is even more clearly unbiblical. “A property tax is not only problematic, but is not permitted in Scripture, and should in fact be considered unbiblical. Only God has absolute ownership of property; He delegated this to individuals, and gave us a commandment against property theft in all forms (Ex. 20:15; Lev. 19:11,13; Deut. 19:14; 27:17; Prov. 22:28; 23:10). God did not give the civil State any claim of ownership in individuals’ land. It has none, and for it to claim such a right is to defy God. And what is a property tax except a claim of partial ownership in the land? It is a system of feudal tenure in which the State claims a percentage of the value of your property, yearly, for the sole privilege of living on land under the particular jurisdiction. While this type of tax has deep historical roots, it is also deeply unbiblical. And though this tax has historically been collected and spent at the county level—thus demonstrating how the County historically was the fundamental unit of governmental authority in this country—it is nevertheless an unbiblical form of taxation and should be replaced with a better form in every place in which it is practiced.” Quoted from Joel McDurmon in this article.

Get In the Battle!

I love the answer to this question in a conversation on Facebook.
Q: My wife works full time, and I work two jobs. We make enough to pay the bills. Do you think that homeschooling is still possible in a situation like that?

I’m not advocating for public schooling. Just want your opinion.

A: Yes.

There are many local organizations that help parents with low incomes homeschool. If there are no organizations. Get your church to back you. This is a war. It takes sweat and blood. Your children’s lives are on the line. Risk everything.

More Border Patrol Stupidity

To paraphrase this border patrol loser, “The Supreme Court has said slavery is legal, murdering babies in the womb is your constitutional right, two dudes can get married, we can relentlessly harass Americans, up is down and down is up. We’re here to blindly obey Ruth Bader Ginsburg, because we’re completely brainless due to having been indoctrinated by the state beginning at the age of five. Are you a US citizen?”

This Is a Bad Idea

Don't take the cheese!
Don’t take the cheese!

I realize it sucks that we get ripped off via property taxes and then we homeschool our kids completely out of our own pocket. Rich and poor alike, who are willing to send their kids to public school get free tuition.

But the program they’re talking about in this video is a bad idea. Once you accept government money, you’ve fallen into their trap. They are going to start trying to control you, because that is what they do. If I was running the Christian school, I would refuse to accept any scholarship money from the state. This lady can take her kids somewhere else.
