This guy was just videotaping (as he yelled several times at the end of the video). The problem was that there was a cop who desperately wants to control other people, and he has a gun, so he can do it.

The issue is whether the sidewalk was closed, and whether a non-videotaping pedestrian would have been harassed or told the sidewalk was closed. You can’t have the sidewalk closed to videotaping, but open to pedestrians. I saw no indication that the sidewalk was closed, or any indication of how far away someone could get. I would bet that a pedestrian could have walked down the sidewalk, and right past their operation, as the cars were passing by just a few feet away.
