I've lived in Canon City my whole life. It makes me sick to think of where this country is headed. The solutions are in God's Word.

Black Robed Regiment

Here’s a quick conversation on Facebook.

Stephen says, “I think you need to get out while you can. I suspect things are going to get really nasty in the USA, and Texas will not be immune to it, no more immune than elsewhere in the US. I would never have believed I would say this a few years ago, but I think things will be worse in the USA than parts of Europe, worse that the UK. I can hardly believe I am saying it, but there appears to be an authoritarianism, born of a largely unrecognized teutonic influence in America, coming to the surface in the USA that will end up being as bad as anything Europe had in the 20th century. I have been told this for many years by an American friend who insisted that I did not undertand the teutonic influence in the USA (I was first told about this by my friend nearly 30 years ago when it seemed incredible and the USA was a different place or at least seemed to be). I thought he was woefully mistaken. I do not think this now. I think he understand perfectly. Come to Britain while you can. We shall quite possibly be leaving the EU in year or so, and after that your chances of getting in, unfortunately, will diminish.”

Here’s how Bojidar Marinov responded,

“Well, yes and no. Don’t forget that these things don’t happen in the UK only because the government has won this war there. The reason the new totalitarians are so violent in the US is because there is still a spirit of resistance here.”

“At its very bottom, the really fundamental conflict in the US is not in the society, the people vs. the government. The fundamental conflict is in the church: the preachers vs. their listeners. And it is a war of deception, not a war of arms. The listeners in the churches are fully aware of what is happening in the society; they are still blind to the fact that their own preachers are accomplices of the enemy and are charged with the task to keep them down while the government advances its agenda. What most outside observers – and most American Christians as well – often miss about the US is how much this nation is driven by what’s preached from the pulpits. The statists know it very well, though, and that’s why they have worked so hard to capture the pulpits. And I am not talking about the liberal pulpits here: The pulpits in the so-called “conservative” and “Reformed” churches are just as much accomplices to statism as the liberal and the Charismaniac churches.”

“The solution to America’s slippery slope to statism and tyranny is actually very simple: purge the pulpits of any preacher who doesn’t preach righteous rebellion against unjust authority. Yes, even the celebrities. Yes, even those that are otherwise orthodox and preach really good sermons on the doctrines of grace or the five points of Calvinism. And even those that are good men and wonderful pastors. If they fail to take the right side in the great conflict of our day, they are useless and even dangerous. Kick them out. Replace them with preachers who will fearlessly oppose the Beast. Restore the Black-Robed Regiment.”

“The solution to Britain’s spiritual problem is not that simple. In Britain, it will take longer, and will take more steps.”

DNA Code

This isn’t the usual thing I would put on this blog, but it’s cool to see. There’s a couple of things to notice in this. It sounds like these guys are old earth creationists, whereas the Bible clearly teaches that the earth is approximately 6000 years old.

And here’s my criticism of intelligent design. They think that if they present enough evidence, they will convince someone that there is a Creator. They’re not even trying to convince anyone of the God of the Bible, but just general theism. But the Bible says that we all know the true God exists, and we reject Him, because we love our sin (Romans 1). We don’t need to try to convince anyone, because they already know Him. They just haven’t submitted to Him.

That being said, evidence is great for Christians and true science glorifies God and is only possible because God upholds the universe in an orderly, predictable fashion.

Atrocious Cop Behavior – One Minute Video

This cop is ridiculous.

Notice that the news report is all about bad language. Of course it’s unprofessional to use bad language, but I’m much more worried about the abuse of people’s rights.

Also, the guy just did everything the officer told him. The cop gave him all these unlawful orders, and the guy apparently just tucked his tail and did it all. This is why cops just expect everyone to do what they’re told, because most people do.

We all must know the law! How can you play Monopoly without knowing the rules? Yet people think you can go through life without knowing the law. We must teach our children the law. We must teach them how to interact with police and know what is a lawful order and what isn’t, and THEIR RIGHTS! My children will not kow tow to a power-tripping loser like this.

Worthy of Death

Theonomy is the doctrine that the civil law of Moses in the Old Testament (the civil laws given to Israel’s government) are applicable today. I wanted to look at the phrase “worthy of death” as it comes up a couple times in the New Testament.

Here is each instance of the phrase in the NASB:

  • Deuteronomy 21:22: If a man has committed a sin worthy of death and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree…
  • Deuteronomy 22:26: But you shall do nothing to the girl; there is no sin in the girl worthy of death, for just as a man rises against his neighbor and murders him, so is this case.
  • Acts 25:11: If, then, I am a wrongdoer and have committed anything worthy of death, I do not refuse to die…
  • Acts 25:25: But I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death; and since he himself appealed to the Emperor, I decided to send him…
  • Acts 26:31: “…and when they had gone aside, they began talking to one another, saying, “This man is not doing anything worthy of death or imprisonment.”
  • Romans 1:32: and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.

In each instance up to Romans 1:32, it is clearly speaking of the death penalty for certain crimes. In Acts, Paul was essentially accused of blasphemy, which was a death penalty crime under the law of Israel. Paul denied it and appealed to Caesar and was shipped to Rome.

Here is the context of Romans 1:26-32:

“For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is [r]unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing [s]indecent acts and receiving in [t]their own persons the due penalty of their error.

28 And just as they did not see fit [u]to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, 30 slanderers, [v]haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; 32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.”

It says those who do not see fit to acknowledge God are given over to homosexuality, leading to murder and a long list of other sins. Then, it says that those who practice such things are worthy of death. Homosexuality and some of the sins on the list, such as murder, are crimes that receive the death penalty in the Old Testament.

Clearly, Paul was saying that the civil law of Moses was applicable and just.

Quest for a Christian Republic

This is from a Facebook friend, Bill Evans, who has clearly thought a lot about secession:

I appreciate the thoughtful, comprehensive labor of Dr. Joel McDurmon, in his epic work Restoring America One County at a Time.

I am of the unpopular opinion, however, that should Christians capture a controlling interest in a state OR COUNTY government, their best move would be to “come out and be ye separate.” For what association does light have with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14-18) They should declare, in the loudest possible voice, their peaceful separation from darkness, and the creation of an Independent Christian Republic, recognizing the Triune God- Father, Son & Holy Spirit, as the Sovereign King, and His Law the only basis of righteous governance.

This is a move of the most bold and radical sort; the only type calculated to, in effect, reset liberty established on the only solid foundation. This was our earliest founders’ (the pilgrims) prescription, albeit was hijacked by deists, masons and proponents of natural law.

The right, and some would say the duty, of secession is enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, and not prohibited by the US Constitution. But I would not establish this new birth of freedom upon the justification of any previous secession attempts in American history, although both the secession of 1775 and 1861, we’re morally justified.

Instead, I would reference the Biblical precedent for secession; namely, the exodus of God’s people out of Egypt. The Most High delivered His people out of the system in which they were enslaved. He did not change the system, nor would He change them, while they were still part of it. Pastor John Weaver has explained that the biblical model for secession is found in 1 King’s 12, where God causes Jeroboam and the Northern tribes to secede from the tyranny of King Rehoboam.

Secession could, pragmatically speaking, be accomplished at the state level, with it’s existing, working governmental apparatus. It would still immediately need to be downsized however, with the virtual elimination of many agencies, offices, departments and bureaus.

I foresee that this move would create an instant war of words, but also an instantaneous mass influx of like-minded families. At the same time, members of the parasite class, and career bureaucrats and statists would flee to the loving arms of their nanny state.

This is preferable, and more humane than attempting the disestablishment of the existing national- socialist safety net, upon which tens of millions have come to rely. Separating the feeders from the government teat, would likely kill both. This new venture in self government under God would needs be voluntary.

As I have often defended, while this move would be animated by a zeal for a new haven of righteousness (2 Peter 3:13), this should not be confused with pietism. I envision that city on a hill, that calls to those weary and heavy laden, in the Name of Christ the King and His obedient civil magistrates. This would be a refitted launching platform from which to reengage evil and extend the Kingdom of God, without the impediment of government trying to be god.

Humanly speaking, I believe we might find giving birth easier than raising the dead.

*A Brief Summary of distinctives that Could be explicitly stated in the Constitutional Articles of a New Christian Republic of America-

• No public schools income or property tax
• Criminalization of abortion & sodomy
• Criminalization of adultery & pornography
• Biblical divorce

How many generations would it conceivably take to achieve these advances working within our current system, if at all?

I respectfully rest my case, and invite your feedback.

Politicians are Evil, But Cops are Good?

A cop worshiping friend of mine posted this:

Here’s the ensuing conversation:

——————————————–

I said, “This seems contradictory to the one you posted about police being special for risking so much for people who care so little. Who is arresting the people for fishing with no license? Don’t you think cops should do the right thing regardless of what the law says?”

——————————————–

He said, “It has been my experience working with police officers for over 25 years in emergency services, that they do try to do right by the citizens they serve. And for the most part are vilified by that same citizenry for doing their job (because of a few – rare – bad apples). That is the testimony of my own eyes running calls with them and as a police chaplain. This post has more to do with the unjust laws being written by “moral entrepreneurs” who want to take your rights away.”

——————————————–

I said, “I certainly agree that politicians passing unjust laws is part of the problem. But I’ve never heard of a politician out checking people’s fishing licences. Politicians pass laws that take away our rights, but all they’re really doing is shuffling papers. Men with guns are what’s really required to take away our rights.”

——————————————–

He said, “Actually, it also a populace that allows them to do so. But again – most police officers are not part of the problem. Ex: Sheriff Justin Smith – refuses to enforce Colorado gun magazine laws. Or Oath Keepers.”

——————————————–

I said, “There is plenty of blame to go around. I would place a lot of blame on the pulpits for having taught a terrible twisting of Romans 13. I’m not saying only cops are to blame for the tyranny we face, but they’ve played a large role in it, and it doesn’t work to blame politicians and give cops a pass.”

“My sheriff isn’t enforcing the magazine law either. That just goes to show that it is within their power to refuse to enforce unjust laws, but that is a rare example. What evil gun control laws do they enforce?”

“Have you considered the possibility that politicians instituting a police force in the first place was just another one of their unjust, unconstitutional and unbiblical acts?”

Cop Tells Another Cop How To Get Out of a Traffic Ticket

This bit of advice was taken from a forum where a NYPD cop was outraged that his wife was given a ticket by another agency. He wasn’t outraged that she was pulled over, because she really was speeding, but because the ticketing officer refused to let her off after she showed him her husband’s union card.

So the advice is to ask for all the information about the radar detector and the tuning forks and the FCC license, as this will teach the cop a lesson, and also get you out of a traffic ticket, because he apparently is quite confident that cops are doing shoddy work and will inevitably be unprepared. So here it is, bad grammar and all:

take it to court,
demand discovery then an adjournment, then after he testifies demand to see his qualification certificate, the fcc lic. for unit, and the testing certification paperwork for the unit used to cloick the wife. whern he fails to produce demand a dissmissal

I haven’t had a speeding ticket in a few years, and have never tried this, but it is consistent with advice from others I’ve seen about how to get out of a ticket. It is reasonable that they should have their paperwork in order. I’m sure if citizens don’t have their license, registration and insurance paperwork in order, we would get a ticket. It seems like they should have to show their paperwork as well. If everyone fought their ticket, it would destroy the court system and end this unjust system of traffic enforcement and revenue collecting.

I wrote about the despicable behavior of the cops on that forum here.
